Hi, I'm Alana Cash. This year I'm researching and blogging about helping orphans in Haiti. My mother and I met up with my mentor yesterday to talk about what all of this is about. I'm working with a program called, Love Him, Love Them. It's basically a program for Christians that love God and want to help others (orphans in this case).
So I guess I should tell you why I wanted to get started with this. I was adopted myself when I was a baby. I'm so grateful my parents decided to adopt me or otherwise I would be an orphan/foster kid myself. I don't know anything about my birth parents. So I felt like I could relate to them. Mainly all children who were adopted or in foster care or that are orphans have this burning urge to know their parents and meet them. I've always had this feeling and I still do.
I really wanted to go on this path because I feel like I can relate and cope with them. I've always had a passion of helping people who I know needs it.
To help them, I'm going to help send the necessities. I will be making a video of myself telling them I love them, and I'm so excited to see them!
